I have basal thumb arthritis and two different other kinds of arthritis all in my hands from many years and concrete removal. I am a moderate pistol shooter I own five 1911s basically I shoot 45 now 9 mm and 22 years ago in bullseye and bowling pin. I acquired this product because I picked up a Springfield armory echelon which is a fantastic gun due to the price difference in 45 ACP and 9 mm ammunition. I installed this product today fired my Springfield armory at your line with this product installed in 13 degrees below zero just to see if it worked and it works great. I’m hoping they come out with a product for the 1911 pistol and I will definitely buy a few of those

Also on my radar for my next pistol purchase will be the. FN545 mrd comp barrel 45 ACp. For possibly a concealed carry pistol but definitely to shoot out in the yard. I would like something more modern and higher capacity and the FN 545 offers that and I believe with this product it’ll be a joy to shoot in the yard at the range and a push comes to shove a close encounter of The Fourth kind. I think this product will keep me on target keep my arthritis better controlled in my hand. I am happy with the product.”

“Great addition to many models! Gives shooters greater control of recoil, quicker return to zero, and allows you to use the same holster most of the time. Plus if you need your holster modified Black Steel offers that service too. The only negative is once you use one on a pistol, you will be spoiled and want one on all your firearms!

“The tin canister in which the device comes in has a label stating 1000% U.S. made, well I guess I can only reply with1000% the best possible upgrade for your gun. We (me and my wife) met the entire crew at the 2025 NRA convention. We walked that place all 3 days and hands down the Black Steel booth and the grip control product was the most innovative, effective and almost indispensable device on display for all gun owners. “I just wanted to say thank you For such an awesome product. I first purchased a Grip Control for my SIG P365 AXG Legion. I was having a hard time keeping the muzzle down and after installing the device, I can hit my target every time with confidence. It was amazing. I tried so many different techniques that really were not working. Once the Grip Control went on it totally changed the game for me.

I recently purchased a Glock 43X which is a spicy (snappy) little pistol. Glocks have a tendency to lack good grips and my 43X was no different. I had to really work at it to get a good grip. I was so happy with the grip control for my AXG that I decided to purchase another for my 43X. After installing it I took it to the range and I was blown away at how it basically negated the lack of grip texture. I was able to keep shots on target easily and the 43X is now my best shooting carry gun. I was honestly ready to give up on this pistol until I installed the Grip Control.

The parts are built well, very sturdy, and very aesthetically appealing too. I love that it folds out of the way. I only had to very slightly modify my Kydex holsters. It literally took about 30 seconds to modify each holster and both pistols fit perfectly.

Many people at the range have asked me about the product, how I like it, does it help with recoil management, etc. i have nothing but praise for the product. It makes a beginner feel more confident and it makes a good shooter look like a pro.

I’m going to be purchasing another for my SIG P320 X5 SXG. I honestly want this on all of my handguns. The confidence boost is priceless.
