About Us

At BlackSteel USA, we are essentially an engineering and manufacturing company.  We love to make stuff and share it with our customers.  Over the years, we’ve designed high performance jet engine parts for the military, national electrical grid transformers, computers, medical devices, automotive parts, racing parts, food industry processing equipment, Vegas slot machines, earth moving equipment parts, large lithium-ion battery systems and lots of other things.  Dozens of patents back up many of these designs.  We work hard, we work as smart as we can and we are very persistent.  We never go the extra mile because we’ve never limited ourselves on what we’re doing, so there is no extra mile to go.
We do everything with these core values as our guiding principles.  If our team members don’t share these values, they won’t last at BlackSteel.           

We are not perfect, we are human, so we rely on each other and our customers to keep us on track. Without being accountable to someone or something it’s too easy to get complacent.  I would love to say that we will never make a mistake, ship the wrong item, get the address wrong, or mess up the manufacturing process, but unfortunately we will on occasion and the only one that will suffer from these errors are our customers.  So when this happens, we’ll make it right, GUARANTEED!!  Judge us by how we respond to our mistakes.
Every team member is authorized to satisfy and delight the customer, they need no other authorization.  If they see something go down the assembly line that is substandard they can stop the line right then and there, period. The issue will be addressed before operations continue.
What is the purpose of BlackSteel?  Contrary to popular belief, a company’s primary purpose is not to make money but to cultivate long term relationships with its customers. You invest in the company to make money, but the purpose of the company itself is to satisfy its customers.  The distinction is very important.

BlackSteel will make no company policy that is not in harmony with the satisfaction & delight of the customer. Nothing infuriates me more than when working with a company and everything stops dead in it tracks when they say “We can’t do that, it’s against company policy”.  In other words, we care more about ourselves than any obligation we have to you except take your money.  The relationship between a company and its customer must be mutually beneficial if it is to be sustained.
