California Identity Verification Policy

To comply with California law, BlackSteel USA is required to verify customer identity in order to ship the Grip Control to California. This verification is integrated into the checkout process and is designed to be fast, secure, and minimally disruptive so your order can move forward without unnecessary delays.

California Assembly Bill 1263 (AB-1263) requires identity and address verification for certain regulated items shipped to California to ensure compliance with state laws governing the sale, transfer, and delivery of covered products. This process helps confirm eligibility, prevents unlawful distribution, and allows BlackSteel USA to legally complete shipments to California residents.

How California ID Verification Works

Step 1: AB-1263 Acknowledgment

When prompted during checkout, you must complete the AB-1263 acknowledgment form.

Step 2: Automated Verification

Our verification process is largely automated. If additional information is required, we will contact you directly.

Step 3: California Delivery Requirements

Some California orders may require ID presentation and a signature upon delivery.

Please note:

• Many shipping carriers require Adult Signature Required services

• Carriers may require the signer to be 21 years or older with a valid government-issued photo ID, even when California law allows possession at 18+

• These delivery requirements are set by the carrier—not BlackSteel USA—and may affect available delivery options and shipping fees.

• ID images are used solely for identity verification

• Verification data is not used for marketing purposes

• ID images are not retained after verification unless required for:

  • Legal compliance
